I come in peace.

Despite a recent flurry of fascinating ‘breaking news’, I’m still trying to figure out if the US government actually has the bodies of alien pilots in storage, and if we have now cracked the manufacture of the first room-temperature, ambient-pressure superconductor.
What a wild and crazy time we live in. Especially as for me the most pressing thing on my mind is that after 4623 years of the world having pluming, why has is taken over three months for a plumber to finally turn up to what should be a simple job?
He’s in the house right now. Not fixing. Just looking at stuff.
The rest of the week has been spent between the shed and trips out on various wheeled devices with the kids.
Me and my daughter headed out for a skate one day and I dug out the now 6 year old Board-Up. Remember that? I even invented a new trick.

Love the work of street photographer Anthimos Ntagkas.
Nice spoof talkshow.
With all the aliens chat chat flying around, perhaps now is as good a time as ever to share this video I captured 16 years ago with somebody claiming to have an alien implant.
On one of the very rare occasions that I head to Instagram…
I noticed that if you share to Farcebook the settings on the account you share to will now be mirrored on Insta. I never really use my personal locked down FB account so I have linked it to my more open Documentally FB business page. Somewhere I also rarely visit but might have to use more when I have something book related to share. So feel free to follow there if you wish.

The power of provocative copywriting gone bad.
Great writeup from
on the late great Sinéad O'Connor and the media's short memory.#TheSound
I heard this on 6 Music but didn’t catch the name. Thankfully I found previous day’s playlist on this site and could track it down.
Bit late to the party here as I think the third season might already be out, but i’m loving Alan Partridge's podcast called From The Oasthouse. Here is a sample.
You can get it on Audible or other online places if you go on a Tor of the internet.

Fake gin. Probably the most expensive soft drink you’ll ever have.
Costing between £12 and £20 a bottle you have to really not want the booze to justify paying the same or maybe even more than an actual bottle of alcoholic gin. Why does water + botanicals cost so much? The websites say it’s because of the low volume, high cost production techniques. But I think it’s because people are stupid and will pay it. Some day soon, someone is going to make a fancy gin flavoured cordial for a fiver a bottle and own the market.
Maybe i’ll have a go. Looks like you might be able to make a non-alcoholic gin with juniper tincture, ginger, coriander, black pepper, and whatever other botanicals you might like to add. Method: Simmer just the botanicals for up to an hour, strain the liquid through a fine mesh, and blend them with the tincture.
Or I can just buy a bottle of Aldi gin.

How left or right handed are you? Do the test.
Here is a post for you left-handers out there.

Three things I don’t need but got my interest… A Magnum P.I. toy, A Seiko movement kit and something Scottevest already invented, the Apocalypse Jacket.
I had a vivid dream of ‘popping to the VG’ to get some sweets. I’ve not thought of the now extinct VG’s for well over 40 years.
I wonder what trawls up these old memories from the depths of an already cluttered mind. Perhaps the act of writing up old journals has my brain unlocking old quadrants formally spun down and mothballed. Who knows what other treasures might be uncovered.

Interesting article on the people hired to dissuade workers from joining a union.

Thanks for reading. The plumber came and went as the simple job has uncovered the need for a new hot water cylinder. The old one is 𝔳𝔢𝔯𝔶 𝔬𝔩𝔡. Hope he makes it back before Christmas.
Next week i’ll be in Ironbridge on Tuesday if you fancy a drink, then Wales for a flying visit.
“The only thing that scares me more than space aliens is the idea that there aren't any space aliens. We can't be the best that creation has to offer. I pray we're not all there is. If so, we're in big trouble.” ~ Ellen DeGeneres

See you out there.
Over…
Great Hydrangea - very red. Is it yours?
Great post, Christian - thank you.
As one of the sinister persuasion I couldn't resist the left-handedness test you'd linked to! Results are as follows:
The laterality index for this respondent is: -100.00
The respondent is in the 10th left decile
The augmented (15 item) index is: -73.33
I was initially disappointed to realise that I'm right-moused - but that's to leave my left hand free to DO stuff. And I ALWAYS hold my drink in my right hand... for the same reason. 🤣
