The Blue Book of Nebo is one for the list. Written in alternate chapters by a 14 year old boy and his mum about life after an undisclosed world event which leaves them alone, living in the Welsh mountains without anyone else around. Beautifully written and really compelling. Jake really enjoyed it, it was his jolabokaflod book this year. Our local indie bookshop had it as their book of the year.
A lot of the shots I take are with the camera slung round my neck. I find that sticking to the one lens helps me to get used to what might be in the frame at any one time. Manual focusing is much harder but all the more rewarding when you get it right. ;-)

Thanks for the tip Sarah. :-)
